Alongside its rich history, Porto offers a stunning architecture and captivating views. It combines tradition and modernity, offering a vibrant cultural scene with museums, art galleries and theaters.

Its historic center, classified as UNESCO World Heritage Site, is highlighted by the Ribeira, with its colorful houses on the banks of the Douro River, and by the iconic Dom Luís I Bridge, which connects the city to Vila Nova de Gaia.

The building´s façade is a tribute to the aesthetics of the ´70s, with soft geometric lines and aharmonious play of colors and textures that blend into the urban environment.

In designing this apartment building, we turned to the roots of ‘70s architecture, seeking not only an aesthetic style, but also a dialog with the vibrant context of Rua da Constituição in Porto.

This historic artery, marked by a rich cultural diversity and a cosmopolitan spirit, inspired us to create a structure that respected tradition while incorporating modernity

The use of materials such as ceramics, natural stone and glass, evoking the charm of that decade, establishes a visual and sensory connection with the neighboring buildings, promoting an architectural continuity that enriches the landscape of Rua da Constituição.

The ten one-bedroom apartments are designed to be spacious and functional, reflecting a contemporary lifestyle.

Each unit has been carefully designed to optimize circulation and light, with open and flowing living and private areas.

The kitchens are compact and practical, making daily life easier for young couples, students and digital nomads looking for an adaptable home.

Functionality is at the heart of this project; we thought of every detail so that the residents could live in comfort and with functionality. The design strives for simplicity, allowing each apartment to be a blank canvas where residents can express their personal style.

The balance between aesthetics and usability is a priority, ensuring that the experience of inhabiting the space is as rewarding as the architecture itself.

Designing this building meant creating a home that is not just a place to live, but a place that promotes interaction and well-being, all whilst respecting the rich history and vibrant atmosphere of Rua da Constituição.
